@alfsb, I'm trying to add the build on a Windows machine here but the action doesn't work. Do you maybe know how to make it work?

Sorry, I do not know GitHub CI. The times I changed something was by copying parts of other's build.yml.

Things can be more involved than simply adding a runs-on. See "Utilizing GitHub Actions to build and test your project on multiple platforms" on Medium for a possible example.

That said, as I commented, the Windows build failure apparently is about Windows Defender somewhat considering that particular XML file as a virus, not letting even EDIT.COM from accessing it immediately after a fresh checkout.

And yes, EDIT.COM still exists on Windows 10, and also yes, this shows how much I needed to dive to find the root cause.

@Girgias , this was a first to me. I do not know where to report this. At first, I consider the problem a security one (as in invalid byte sequences breaking Windows rendering on NotePad), until I found out that Windows considered it a security problem of another nature: blocking the reading of text files by text editors, and even worse, by changing text files in disk after a while.
