I've updated languages.json and fixed the syntax. It seems the translation-check workflow is failing due to a configuration error: No event triggers defined in on |
|
There aren't actually any translations provided? |

Hi @svartkanin, I've updated the PR. Content: Filled in core Nepali translations in base.po (System logs, Hostname setup, User/Sudoer creation, and Abort sequences). Please check the 'Files changed' tab. I'm planning to keep expanding the translations for partitioning and desktop environments next. Thanks for your patience! |

also, Regarding the failing checks: It appears the .github/workflows/translation-check.yaml is failing with a configuration error (No event triggers defined in on), which seems to be an issue with the repo's workflow file rather than my submission. |
PR Description:
Adds new functionality (Nepali locale support).
PR Description:
This PR introduces the Nepali (ne) language to archinstall.
Key Changes:
Added the directory structure ne/LC_MESSAGES/ for the new locale.
Included a translated base.po file covering essential installation strings like Disk selection, Network configuration, and User setup.
Generated the compiled base.mo file using the provided locales_generator.sh script to ensure compatibility.
Updated languages.json to include the Nepali abbreviation and its native name (नेपाली) for proper menu display.
Notes on Fonts: Since Nepali uses a non-Latin character set, users may need to manually set a console font (e.g., setfont LatGrkCyr-8x16) for characters to display correctly on the ISO.
Tests and Checks
[x] I have tested the code!
Ran ./locales_generator.sh ne to validate the base.po structure and ensure no duplicate message definitions exist.
Verified that the base.mo binary was successfully created.
