Is there a problem at production runtime issue having this Hadoop feature enabled?

This only affects test, where we want to start a mini dfs cluster. We have jcl-over-slf4j so even if hdfs client still references commons-logging it is still OK. In the metrics logger implementation in hadoop, they reference the implementation classes(LOG4JLogger, for example) in commons-logging directly which causes the problem.
