What should we do with the force field mod to make it interesting?

I don't think just copying MFFS is too good an idea, I think we should come up with something a little more unique

i think i'll get some novel ideas once we actually implement the fundamentals, keep in my mind my vision for these things might be poor to begin with cuz of a lack of experience with mc stuff

At the most basic level,we want an ability to turn rotational energy from create into a user configurable force field of which blocks entities from traversing

ya so what i was gonna ask was the context for such a mod, and if its going to be in a survival factions esque setting then have some sort of "fuel" or source of energy to keep it up sounds like it'd make sense. what about the way in which the user would configure it? some sort of UI sure, but having all of the possible configuration there from the start sounds like it'd be OP so needing to craft the base forcefield thing up (or placing forcefield-specific components adjacent to it) also sounds like a good idea to me

I'm imagining survival PVP factions
For power I'm thinking piping rotational energy from create (or something that can be generated from rotational energy)
I'm open to ideas for configuring the size and shape, I'm not sure I want to just have a GUI with buttons bounded by the input energy, maybe we can base the size off of the torque/speed from the create rotation energy?

Draft Idea 1:
A multiblock structure build out of frames with a gyroscope in the middle.

• The gyroscope block determines the shape
  • Gyroscopes could be configured with a workbench
  • Alternatively, different Gyroscopes can have different crafting recipes
• The frames form a multiblock, the size and shape determine the maximum size and dimensions of the force field
  • The frames can be replaced with modifying blocks that add different effects to the force field
    • For example, a camouflage module could replace a frame block and add the ability to disguise the forcefield blocks as another block
  • The multiblock will be powered with rotational energy
