[Feature Request] Mid stream byte removal

Love this library been using it to induce myself headaches I've never dreamed of before :D 

However, while using it I felt the need of removing a set of bytes in the middle of a stream, and trim seems to only cut out of the end of the stream, I tried looking for any other methods that would achieve this same functionality I didn't find any

Could it be made?
