GHPAGES-DOCKER needs to be updated

GitHub Pages is now using v3.3.4 of Ruby. You are using v2.7.4. Please refer to the ghpages-docker Wiki for instructions on how to update.

Would anyone mind if I tried to update this? It looks like a short issue.

...unless this is a good first issue for a new member, in which case I can provide support.

I was around when the image was being created and I'm comfortable with Dockerfiles.

The work for this issue was already completed as part of #142.

There's 3 issues that ended up being similar and can't be done independently, and so #142 did the work for all of them.

• GHPAGES-DOCKER needs to be updated #137 - Update Github Page ruby gem
• GHPAGES-DOCKER needs to be updated #138 - current issue. Update Ruby version
• GHPAGES-DOCKER needs to be updated - ruby gem #142 - same work as #138. Work already done (PR)

The part that's confusing to me is who is responsible for creating these issues. For these issues above, I don't know if a person created them or a bot. I remember Roslyn was logging in as danielridgebot to respond to my comments. It's possible she also created #142 that way. Gayle Martin (gaylem) seems like a real person, but the descriptions look like they're genenerated.

From what I remember, the DanielRidge bot is supposed to do the periodic checks and create them. I think someone needs to check that this is still the case.

The DanielRidge bot activities were broken for some time because of an expired token. See PR comment and the associated issue. But now that it's been updated, someone can create an issue and do the work to make sure the bot is able to do the checks and generate the issues.

I would recommend:

• Close these issues since they're completed:

  • GHPAGES-DOCKER needs to be updated #137
  • GHPAGES-DOCKER needs to be updated #138
  • There may be other similar open issues here

• Create a new issue to "make sure ghpages-docker versions checks are working"

  1. Find the DanielRidge scripts/GHAs
     • this repo here
  2. Look at what they've been doing, are they being run, and any errors.
  3. Fix them if necessary.
  4. Maybe also link to the checking repo from https://github.com/hackforla/ghpages-docker/wiki#how-do-you-update-ghpages-docker if it's not already there.
