[Bug]: "The program can't find any usable optical drives." Nobara OS / Snap version of MakeMKV #33
Description
What happened?
Freshly installed snap version of MakeMKV won't list any drives.
The same setup was used back under Windows 11 Pro with no issues.
So far, I used VLC with just the KEYDB file to watch Blu Rays, however BD+ protected discs are troublesome and won't work even after hours of troubleshooting.
I used the Snap version of MakeMKV which runs great, but doesn't find any drives. Other tools (VLC, system, etc.) do.
- User is member of "cdrom" group
- Blu-Ray drive: ASUS BW-16D1HT Firmware 3.10
- Connection rights to optical drive was granted via "sudo snap connect makemkv:removable-media"
What am I missing?
P.S.: MakeMKV also does not list the VLC plugin like in Windows. Any advice here?
