More in-depth reasoning for immunization status #147

Several PHUs have historically annotated immunization notices with stickers or stamps to provide more information for clients why they are overdue.

For example:

  • Please be reminded that 2 doses of varicella are required.
  • Please give Tdap (ADACEL) and Men-C-ACYW135 (NIMENRIX or Menactra).
  • A dose of Men-C-C was administered too early and does not meet the requirements of ISPA.
  • Students who received a dose of Meningococcal (Men-C-ACYW135) vaccine under 5 years of age are not required to receive another dose of this vaccine under the ISPA. This means that there will not be a suspension from school for Men-C-ACYW135 vaccine. However, it is recommended by the Canadian National Advisory Committee on Immunization to receive a booster dose for the best protection.
  • According to our records, this patient requires DTaP-IPV-Hib (Pediacel or Pentacel).
  • According to our records, we do not have any immunization information on file.
  • Our records show that your child had a dose of MMR, Menjugate/Neis-Vac C, or Menactra/Nimenrix earlier than they should have. Your child will not be suspended, however, for best protection, it is recommended that they have another dose.
