Archiving or exporting task notes

It turns out I find the notes feature so useful that I've accumulated notes that I don't want to mark as done because I don't want to lose the notes.

I know the content is not lost and is still searchable, so I could just mark it as done, but this would mean that the note is mixed in with other content and still harder to find, i.e. the task has taken on a distinctive, separate role as a note.

It would be great to be able to archive or export such notes to separate them from tasks without that role.

I'll also look into options to do this with an external interoperable app.

Hey, yeah the notes thing is pretty cool, and at some point I thought it would be nice to make a notes app with features inspired by Potluck. But alas, that would take some work and I'm not sure when I'll get around to it 😅.

Anyways, about the archive/export feature, can you elaborate on what you would like? With exporting you mean downloading a .md or .txt file for example? And how would "archiving" solve your problem? If anything, my idea of archiving something means it's even less reachable than just marking a task as complete.

I suppose the effect I'm after is that notes are still available in some form outside the to-do list - but I did have in mind that they would still be stored in the pod rather than downloaded to a local device.

So:

• Moving to another list could work because they could be moved to a "notes" list that only has this type of task.
• "Exporting" would likely involve moving the note elsewhere in the pod. An md file would be fine. Maintaining some kind of provenance would be a bonus.
• Archiving would somehow treat the task as something that should not be deleted, adding it to a collection that grows over time, along with other similar tasks - but separate from the growing list of tasks that are "done" but don't have meaningful notes that would benefit from archiving.

This is more of an emerging user story rather than a specific feature request 😅
