With the mod "Advance World Generation" (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2562968836) activated, clicking the "Cancel" Button no longer cancels the world generation. While in Visual Studio debugging, a NullReferenceException is thrown.

Deactivating the "Advance World Generation" mod, makes the "Cancel" button useable again, but there is no "*_Aborted" world saved as it used to be in previous versions. Please bring that one back! :-(
